Improved Support for Twitch in WordPress

Twitch is a live streaming video platform and part of Amazon.

Twitch is best known for streams of video games, but in recent years it branched out into other topics too. Browse around Twitch and you’ll find music videos and people live-streaming their lives.

Twitch is incredibly popular, with around 2 million broadcasters and 100 million viewers each month.

We’re delighted to say that EmbedPress 2.1.2 has improved support for Twitch videos and chats. All you need is the URL. Grab the URL of any Twitch channel and drop it into your WordPress posts.

Look below for a sample Twitch embed. If you don’t see it – try turning your adblocker off. Adblock browser extensions will often disable Twitch streams.

  1. on chrome when I was using the grab url for the chat it would not work at all. The first time I did it was working just fine. Edge makes you sign in and works so is there a fix for something like that? This is even when I am streaming as you can see i tried streaming and refreshing this site. I also went into incognito and had the same issue. please help
